Understanding Medicare Parts A, B, C & D
Medicare has several parts, and each one covers something different. Understanding how Parts A, B, C and D work together can help you make more informed decisions about your coverage.

Part A
Hospital Coverage: Part A covers things like inpatient hospital stays, home health care, and some skilled nursing facility care.

Medical Coverage: Part B covers physician visits, outpatient services, preventive services, and some home health visits.

Medicare Advantage: Part C refers to the Medicare Advantage program, through which beneficiaries can enroll in a private health plan.

Prescription Drug Coverage: Part D covers outpatient prescription drugs through private plans that contract with Medicare.
